Dear Faithful in Christ Jesus,
New Year
It is hard to believe another year has already gone by. Before we know it, we will be headed back North to plant a church in Portland, Maine. We have much preparation to do. Our oldest Cory, will graduate from Grace Baptist Christian School on May 19th. We look forward to our next area of ministry, but there are many people we will miss. We anticipate moving either in June or July depending upon housing and jobs.
Answered Prayers
God has been gracious to answer so many that have been praying for the Spanish work that we have been involved in starting. Just this year (2009) we have seen two more saved! Also, we are moving towards a Spanish preacher coming with the help of Pastor Pedro Ramirez. He pastors an independent Spanish Baptist church in Moultrie, GA which is only about 30 minutes from Tifton. Incidentally, he is one of our home church’s missionaries. He has preached the last two Sunday mornings for us and will be sending a preacher of his church in the following weeks. We trust the Lord will provide a preacher from his church. I am still handling Sunday nights and prayer meeting.
Grand Opening
Please pray for us as our Spanish building is finished and we will be having our “grand opening” service on January 18th. We hope to have many visitors. If you remember, this building was Grace’s original auditorium. Much renovation needed to be done. With the Lord’s help we are finished with the exception of a little more decorating. We have held services there since December 21st while finishing up a few loose ends. It has been a tremendous blessing and benefit already. We look forward to seeing our little Spanish congregation grow spiritually and numerically.
Please Pray
Pray for Leobardo and his family to be faithful. Also pray for Juaquinn and his family who recently moved to Florida for work. They were our most faithful family. They do not expect to be back until June! Many are without work. Pray for Eric and Ricardo who were recently saved. We have been averaging around 10-15 in attendance. Like everyone else, we hope for greater faithfulness. Pray for us that we may be faithful and spend our days for Him. Thank you for your faithfulness to us.
